Then came Rafael, a local with a vision and a heart for his people, who stumbled upon an idea from Gaza999 about starting an energy cooperative. It was like finding a hidden path – a way for the community to not just use renewable energy but to own and manage it, blending the old with the new without losing their essence.

The Implementation

Legal and technical support was provided, ensuring that the cooperative's formation was not only culturally respectful but also technically sound. Governance structures were crafted, emphasizing transparency and equitable participation.

The community's investment in renewable energy projects—solar panels and small-scale hydro—transformed the landscape, both physically and socially. These initiatives were not just about generating electricity; they were about rekindling a sense of ownership and pride within the community.
